I would like to thank Palmetto Fundraising for their items! They are wonderful! My son has a rare brain condition called Arnold Chiari Malformation. Chiari is a Neurological disorder where the brain decends out of the skull and puts pressure on the spine. It affects about 300,000 people (all races and ages) in the United States. Chiari causes a wide range, diverse set of symptoms, including severe headaches, neck pain, balance problems, weakness in the arms and legs, speech delays and fine and gross motor delays. Many people go years before being diagnosed. We got very lucky that Matthew was diagnosed at a young age (at age 4). Brain surgery/decompression surgery is necessary to try to relieve symptoms, it is NOT a cure! Very little federal funds have been directed towards Chiari research. Since Matthew's diagnosis we have become very active in awareness. It is up to the people affected with Chiari and their families to raise money for research and promote awareness!! This year for our Southern Ohio Chiari Walk we are presenting each one of our walkers with a purple ribbon charm and tattoo. It is extremely necessary to get people involved and want to keep coming to our events! These are great inexpensive gifts to thank everyone for participating in our walk. That is why I am so thankful for the items you sell, it is hard finding inexpensive items to give out. Most inexpensive items look cheap. But not the products from Palmetto Fundraising!! I have referred other walk organizors to Palmetto Fundraising to purchace items. Thank you Palmetto Fundraising for adding a little something special to our walk!!
